Start Azure SQL Databases

The Start Azure SQL Databases Action is used to resume paused databases with the SKU name of DataWarehouse.

Use of this action streamlines database management and optimizes resource usage and costs, as well as providing the flexibility to pause and start on demand.

When you link GorillaStack to your Azure account, GorillaStack creates a service principal that provides access to the following permissions that are used by this action:

  • Microsoft.Sql/servers/databases/pause/action
  • Microsoft.Sql/servers/databases/read
  • Microsoft.Sql/servers/databases/resume/action
  • Microsoft.Sql/servers/read

  8. In this action’s Tag Targeting panel, create or select a tag group that targets the intended database(s) and no others
