Suspending Autoscaling Processes

Overview

The Suspend Autoscaling Processes action allows you to suspend Autoscaling Processes for an Autoscaling Group.

Working in conjunction with the Resume Autoscaling Processes action, these actions automate Autoscaling Group management and help optimization of resource usage and costs.

Permissions

The action uses the following AWS Autoscaling API endpoints to target and suspend Autoscaling Processes:

• DescribeAutoScalingGroups
• SuspendProcesses

Configuring the action

Targeting

Autoscaling Groups can be targeted by Tag groups, or all Autoscaling Groups in the selected context.

Processes to Suspend

You can choose specific processes to suspend or, if left blank, suspend all processes.
